CLASSES + WORKSHOPS
for guilds, groups,
and individuals
on-line or in person
My small-group weekend workshops include explorations of creativity, art journaling, IPad apps for artists, surface design techniques, and spiritual growth and practice as it affects design process, creativity and the fine art of making a life true to one's strengths, gifts and passions. I also teach at conferences, events, guild meetings and schools around the world, custom designing content to meet the needs of my audience.

ABOUT SUSIE
The art I make is the result of a lifelong love of pattern, texture, and color.
My teaching style is honed by experience (I started teaching creative arts to younger kids when I was 12).
After earning a B.A. in Studio Arts from Trinity University, I helped lead an internationally recognized educational foundation, designed curriculum exhibits for schools and other institutions, wrote and edited for a major daily newspaper, plus opened the San Antonio Children's Museum.
Then, a couple of decades ago, I took the scary but essential (for me) leap to become a full-time artist and art teacher.
SHOP SUSIE’S WORK
Many of my original designs are available as wearable and functional art through my Redbubble shop, where paintings and textile-inspired imagery become scarves, stickers, journals, home décor, apparel, and gifts.
Rooted in Texas borderlands color, storytelling, and layered symbolism, these pieces invite art into everyday life, whether wrapped around your shoulders, carried in a tote, or placed on a favorite notebook.
Browse the collection and find a piece that speaks to your own wild and creative spirit.
